  1. A luxury senior residence is about to open its doorss, a sign of continued growth for Madison’s Hill Farms District and the city as a whole. Renaissance on North Segoe Road set to open in mid-January 2022 after a year of renovations to the old Retirement Gardens community building. Susan Schmitz, a board member for the University Hill Farms Neighborhood Association, said the accommodations around the block indicate a natural and gradual expansion of central Madison, what she says “is a good thing”.   2. Madison Police arrested a man on Sunday for allegedly shooting in the air during an argument. Agents responded to reports of gunfire near W. Gilman Street and University Avenue in the early hours of Sunday morning and found three cartridge cases and a .45 caliber cartridge under tension at the scene. A witness reported a suspect, who escaped from the police and allegedly had a .45 caliber handgun in his possession. The anonymous suspect is currently in Dane County Jail for recklessly endangering security, resisting arrest and endangering security by using a dangerous weapon. (Channel3000.com – WISC-TV3)
  3. Christmas week in Madison promises to be pretty sunny, with temperatures reaching peaks in the 1930s and 1940s over the next few days. Wait wind gusts up to 30 mph today and 18 mph tomorrow, with a slightly milder weather before the bank holiday weekend. (Madison patch)
