LAKE SARANAC – The Tri-Lakes Humane Society is hosting an art walk through their shelter next weekend, featuring paintings created by the animals at the shelter.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 12 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tri-Lakes Humane Society, 255 George LaPan Memorial Hwy., Saranac Lake.

All art will be displayed on the refuge’s hiking trails and will be available for purchase to give back to the animals’ ongoing care. Admission to the art walk is $ 1 per person. Snacks and refreshments will be available for donations.

“We are delighted to celebrate the enrichment of animals”, said Carla M. Stroud, director of the Tri-Lakes Humane Society refuge. “These paintings are a fun visual representation of the great work staff do to keep animals happy and mentally challenged while they wait for loving homes. It’s a great window into animal care at the shelter and a fun way to give back.
