Halifax Humane Society to offer reduced adoption fees during National Adoption Weekend – WFTV
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Halifax Humane Society, in partnership with Bounty Paper Towels, announced reduced adoption fees at its shelters May 20-24.
All animals to be adopted have been vaccinated, microchipped and are ready to go home immediately.

As one of Florida’s largest humane societies, the Halifax Humane Society offers a full range of humane programs that enable it to serve more than 25,000 animals each year.
Julie Castle, CEO of Best Friends Animal Society, said the help couldn’t have come at a better time.

“May is one of the busiest months for animal shelters across the country. The sad truth is that shelters get overcrowded when pets aren’t adopted quickly enough and it can be life threatening” , Castle said.

Castle said across the country, shelters are facing staffing shortages, limited hours of operation, fewer volunteers and fewer adoption events, which has led to an increase in numbers. pets to adopt.
