Mockler and Mills fill office openings
VERMILLION, SD—South Dakota Athletic Director David Herster is pleased to announce the hiring of Gina Mockler as Associate Athletic Director for Business and Finance and Madison Mills as Assistant Athletic Department Accountant.
Mockler replaces Jeannette Hubertwho is retiring this summer after 19 years with the Coyote athletic department.

Vermillion and the University of South Dakota quickly became my home during my time on campus and now as an employee for 11 years, I am excited to work with the staff and coaches to continue to ensure the success of the Coyotes on and off the field. Mockler has held various positions at the University, most recently in the Campus Budget Office as a Senior Budget and Finance Specialist, since graduating from SHU in 2010. Mockler, a Mitchell, South Dakota native , was a setter for Coyote volleyball. program for five years. She ranks fifth on the USD career charts for total assists. She earned her undergraduate degree in Accounting and her Masters in Sports Management from USD.
Mills returns to Vermillion from her current role as operations advisor for Tesla in California. A native of Reno, Nevada, Mills competed as a pole vaulter for the Coyote track and field program for five seasons. His indoor personal best of 13-11 ¼ (4.25m) remains ranked sixth in USD program history. She was a six-time All Peaks winner in the pole vault. Mills earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration in 2017.
