Pet of the Week: John Dory
EUGENE, Oregon – John Dory is a handsome gray and white tuxedo cat who is so friendly he will come up to you and ask to be petted.
John Dory has a great purr and enjoys rubbing his head against everyone he meets. Before coming to the Greenhill Humane Society, he lived as an abandoned wanderer in a neighborhood. A resident tried to give him a home, but when his cat and John Dory couldn’t get along, the man decided to take John Dory to Greenhill so he could find a permanent home.
He described John Dory as an active and playful cat who enjoys playing with toys around the house and might appreciate access to the outdoors if possible.
He should be the only pet in the house, and would do best in a household with older, cat-savvy children or teens.
John Dory is 3 years old and is a big cat with a very soft coat. Her fee is $ 60, which helps pay for accommodation costs such as vaccinations, microchip identification, sterilization, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more.
John was Tuesday’s Pet of the Week on KEZI 9 News. Every Tuesday, KEZI presents a homeless pet in the newspaper from noon to 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m.
The Greenhill Humane Society is located at 88530 Green Hill Road and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. His phone number is 541-689-1503. Appointments are available.
To ensure a good match, potential adopters should come to the animal shelter in person to meet with animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to make sure the pet is compatible with everyone in the household.
