Toyota wants to sell you a car, finance it, maintain it and now insure it too.
Toyota Auto Insurance is operational and will soon be available in Texas.
So far, it is sold in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and South Carolina. Along with Texas, it will soon be operational in Georgia, Missouri and Tennessee, with more states added each month, Toyota said Thursday.
Other household vehicles that are not Toyota brands may also be insured. To make its insurance product stand out among the many choices already available, Toyota is offering a 5% discount on repairs at its certified collision centers that it says will be carried out with genuine Toyota parts “to the extent of the possible â.
Auto insurance will be sold through its website, mobile app, call center agents, and participating Toyota dealerships. Insurance is taken care of by Toggle, the underwriter belonging to Farmers Insurance.
Will Nicklas, COO of Toyota Insurance Management Solutions, said the program will be expanded so Toyota owners can use their personal driving data to earn more discounts.
Toyota Insurance was first launched in 2016 to help car buyers purchase insurance coverage.
Since then, the full-service agency has grown to sell home, renters, RV and pet insurance.
